Lily! I rollmy eyes.

ACTUALLY.....

These were my mom's hats. ALL of them. She wore every single one of them. A lot! ANd she kept every single one right back to the
1940s!

When we emptied the house before my dad moved, my sister in law and I took the hats out of the boxes and took these pics. ( I have photos of us wearing hats- and might share... privately!) We each took a few hats to keep before sending the rest off for consignment and to the costume mueseum.

It's Mother's Day on Sunday and so I wanted to remember mom with her hats this year!

I too LOVE to wear hats, but don't always have the occaisions. I don't think anything classes up an outfit more than the right hat - for the right occaision!

So be careful, if I show up on the Bay wearing a *real* hat and not one of my *Dog* ball caps - you know we're heading out to get into serious Woman trouble!

that is quite a collection of hats.

Maybe the caption could be "Imelda's shoes, meet M's hats" :-)

What a lovely memorial.

{hugs}

Lily,

We couldn't BELIEVE how many hats we had on the living room floor!
It was a fun afternoon.

mmm,

Mother's Day still means a lot to me, even though I lost my Mom 34 years ago...

not being serious, just respectful to all of our mother's memories....
