Thirteen summer things I've been doing.

1. Reading books on the quarter deck with coffee tea or other BEvERages as appropriate.
2. Hanging the sheets outside to dry even after the dryer has been replaced because they smell so nice on the bed.
3. Slathering the sunless tanning lotion on my legs rather than baking outside. Anything to avoid white leg syndrome.
4. Going for walks on the paths - not often enough.
5. Going out for lunch or dinner with friends and eating outside on patios.
6. Playing music loud.
7. Keeping the windows open everywhere when the humidity drops and the breezes are nice.
8. Have pedicures at least every couple of weeks to change the colour of the nail polish on my toes HOT pink this week RED last week.
9. Put my hair up off my neck now that its long enough. ( woman of a certain age and all that... didn't think I'd like it longer... but I am LIKiN' it!)
10. Drive the car with all the windows down rather than using the A/C.
11. Now I am keeping the windows open cuz the A/C has died and I need to keep cool... and move sloooowwwwleee Note to self, take the down comforter off the bed...
12. Enjoying more BEvERages than normal... particularly the apricot flavoured wheat beer! very summery.
13. Scrapbooking. Every season is a scrapbooking time!

Hot pink toenails is my summer colour. I have a deep red in the winter. I rarely use anything other colour. I wonder if my daughter and I will find time this weekend to go get pedi's.

I hope you get your A/C's fixed soon. That is so not good.

My hair gets brushed in the morning and flung up in some semblance of a ponytail. I hear that guys like longer hair on women. I keep mine long cuz I like it plus I think its less work long than it ever is shorter.

Stay cool sweetie.

We have had a cool spring and our summers never get as hot as yours. I don't have a/c in my house but about the time I would want to turn it on for being too warm, Blondie would be getting a sweater out and looking at me as if I had grown a third head. LOL

My son and I like longer hair and I think that is probably a true generalization of men. For me it is a case by case basis, some women look very cute with short, sassy hair. If you ask me for my preference though - longer, well shoulder length at least.

Men and their thing for long hair.... rolls eyes and what EvEr!

Blondie would NEVER survive spring or fall where either of us ive Rudy, never mind Winter! lol!

A/C fixed! $200 repair work is better than a whole new thingy right now!
Comforter back on the bed.

Looks like Rebel wants to go out for a patio supper tonight.... so hot though might have to eat inside looking OUT at the patio.

LMAO!
but I actually know of men who like short hair. {I believe G is one of them if I am not mistaken}

HEY. What did I ever do to you two people that cause you to make sport of me about my need for a sweater???
giggle 70° IS cold! heh!

WOOT! that you got the A/C fixed. That will make things much nicer.

Wishing for you a nice patio supper with your rebel girl.

*hugs*

And the hair is UP ... more because when I get to the restaurant and I see some young man who I LIKE! I can take it down and toss it, and run my hands through it like I am 30 again! Nad hope my Rebel doesn't get my not too subtle flirt with young men! lol yeah... (-;

HEY ladies! What did I do to get the lumping over men liking long hair?

I said that I appreciated short hair on some women.

Liking long hair vs short is like preferring blue to green. Sheesh.

And since you both have longer hair and M is getting ready to use it to her advantage what is the problem?

gals complain about men liking long hair but knowing just how to use that against them. Oy

<- scratching his head

The gals night out sounds like a lot of fun. I hope it cools off enough so that you can enjoy the patio.

must be one of those things we girls notice A LOT... more so with those spousal units who say... It's your hair do what you want, then it turns out...
Oh! that's short!" or I liked it better the other way..
And yes... you DID say either way didn't you? mea culpa.
We reserve the right to twist words... there is no rhyme or reason...
Blondie... is there a rule about that for dating too? Part 3?

Probably cuz you are the only guy brave enough to show up here and speak your mind.

Actually, I have said it's your hair do what you want. And maybe the first time, because it was a drastic change, may have said wow that is short but it was more in surprise than condemnation. After that, when asked if it was okay, I would say it looked nice and it did. Now if asked did I really like it or prefer it, the answer was no. I prefer longer hair.

Ironically, the ex now has hair that falls around shoulder length. It provides credence to my theory that

1. she cut it short because she knew I preferred it long and

B. she knows that most guys prefer long so she needs it long to attract another guy (or whatever LOL) (ESF has butch short hair, Blondie will know what I am talking about here)

As a guy who has had to wait while the hair was being fixed I can honestly say that her reasoning that short hair was easier and faster to care for was all in her head.

Probably cuz you are the only guy brave enough to show up here and speak your mind.

brave or foolish?
