We Must Never Forget!

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.

Amen to no matter "where" they serve. They all signed the same contract willing to die to carry out orders and the "where" can change in an instant.

I had to struggle this year as I usually like to attend the National Service at our War Memorial... the image you see here today. However it is Sunday - the Service is at 10:55 AM ( with the Last Post played at 11 AM ) - and Church Liturgy is 11:15 am... so I couldn't go this year.
Our men and women need to know they have our support today, and yesterday's vest need to know we care and appreciate what they have done.
Gene Simmons Family Jewels repeated his visit to Camp Pendleton and his tribute to American Armed Forces personnel. The guy is a softie Rock & Roll god that he is, he said if his number had come up in the draft he would have gone. Watching him talk to vets in a Vets Hospital in California was amazingly touching. Demon not at all. He cares.
God Bless them All.
