Blondie,

M posted a picture of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, football blue and gold banner.

I'm sure she's is very proud of her bombers! ehem......

I on the other hand come from Toronto (originally) where the Toronto Argonauts hail from.

Hence, our battle cry ~ ARRRR GOOO's!!

Ottawa (where we now live) no longer has a football team, alas, since the crazy family from Shreveport, Louisiana, the Lieberman's bought, sold, bought and sold it yet again. But only after driving our Ottawa Rough Riders into the ground....damn them!

So, there is a little Canadiana for you...well, with my limited football knowledge....

Lily

I'm sure M will have her own spin on this....ahahahaha!!! LMAO

While the ARRRGOOOOOS (done with more of a whiney tone than the fight chant LIly uses) may have won one more game going into the playoffs, The Big Blue have QB Kevin Glen, who broke League records this year in his passing game. Bombers to the Grey Cup this year... even if it is being played in Toronto and I can't get tickets!

Leibermans... these are the idiots that thought it would be "fun" to create a *New Orleans* atmosphere at football games... Hurricanes, beer, beads and breasts at football games in the family section. What fecking eejits they were! RUINED a long standing tradition in this city!

Apparently we will have a team next year... shall see. Lily... we can be agnostic and see an Ottawa Montreal game instead of either of our own teams eh? Keep it all friendly like.

Nothing like 4 down football!

Hockey commnet.
Ottawa has the Senators...
Winnipeg used to have the Jets... until that OTHER idiot... NHL COmmissioner decided that Winnipeg was too small a market for hockey... In a Canadian city.. so of course... he moved the team.. to that well known hockey capital.. Phoenix... yeah... really! Coyotes... what a mistake. Bettman - short man syndrome... is another guy who has ruined a perfectly good sport... but I digress from today's point which is ....

GO BLUE!

Anchorage got an indoor/arena football team this year. the Division chief got season tickets. Not sure how well it went over but they seemed to have a lot of fun with it.

I will have to check out the CFL. Can't get too much football can you Blondie?

Hockey!

It truly was a sad day when we lost the Jets.....they should have stayed in Winnipeg, for sure....

on the other hand ;-)

GO SENS GO!!!!

13 - 1!!!

Grey Cup game is always a surprise. Great action... and not usually a one sided affair. Sunday afternoons are now playoff time. Grey Cup Sunday is Nov 24th. The CFL website tells you which satellite carriers you can find games. You'll enjoy the difference between NFL/US College and and CFL rules.
As long as they don't interfere with our beloved Sun Devils ...

Sun Devils?

Did someone mention Sun Devils??

Ok, now that I have that out of my system.

M's FB team is the Blue Bombers. Lily's is the Argonauts. There appears to be healthy rivalry here but I am most impressed with the suggestion to go watch a neutral team and just have fun. COOL!

Then there is hockey. Something about Phoenix being the well known hockey capital {snort}. Coyotes, Senators....sounds rough.

Arena football? I think not.

But all in all.

GO TEAM!

love you guys,

M,

I won't make it to the Grey Cup this year. I didn't make the cut, it seems. I will be in Atlanta with the Falcons instead. Big wup.

I would have had a seat for you, probably press box, in a warmer place the the Blue Bombers stadium like last year!!!

Maybe next time.

You are a saint, and you work so hard.

Love you,

zebra

ZEBRA!!!
Well... those fecking eejits didn't hire you?!?! fools ! that they are.
The Toronto stadium is an indoor one... even outside the press box it would have been fan-tabulous! lol

And ya... know it's only 5 hours from here so OF COURSE I would have come to the game...

I'm not such a saint... I just do what I gotta do.
We all do!
HUGS (-:
